Chandler Wilburn, a senior at The Classical Academy, won the Class 3A boys individual title at the Colorado High School Activities Association state cross country championship meet at the Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Wilburn covered the 5-kilometer layout in 15:46.3 to help the Titans capture the boys team championship with a 47-112 victory against Frontier Academy. Wilburn, who improved from fourth place last year, became the fifth different male competitor in program history to win a state individual crown, following teammate Matthew Edwards from last year. The Titans won back-to-back team titles for the first time since 2010-11 and earned their eighth championship overall.
